Human Resource Manager

The Human Resources Manager guides and manages the provision of Human Resources (HR) services, policies, and programs for NuCompass Mobility. The Human Resources Manager promotes an employee-oriented, high performance culture that emphasizes quality, productivity, and the recruitment and development of a superior and engaged workforce. This position is located in the NuCompass headquarter's office in Pleasanton, CA.

Major areas of responsibility include: employee relations; employee recruiting and onboarding; payroll and benefits administration; employee communication; employee development and training; employee wellness and safety; policy development and implementation; performance management administration; and compliance with employment-related regulations. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

Administer policies, programs and processes that help align the workforce with the strategic and annual goals of the company. More specifically:

  • Manage employee relations and oversee company employee engagement and wellness programs
  • Conduct new employee recruiting and onboarding activities
  • Supervise the providers of Payroll, Benefits, Health Insurance, 401k and other HR service programs
  • Support and direct employee training and development, including disseminating education and materials to managers and employees, creating programs, and fostering employee well-being
  • Administer and oversee employee performance management and employee recognition programs
  • Work with management to develop and implement HR policies and guidelines for the company
  • Assist management with compensation and benefits plan design, compliance review and cost management activities.
  • Evaluate and recommend providers of HR services and programs
Qualifications and/or Experience: 

These requirements are representative, but not all-inclusive, of the knowledge, skills, and ability required to successfully perform the duties of the Human Resources Manager.

  • Experience in the administration of compensation and benefits programs and other HR programs or services.
  • At least three years of HR business support.
  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in HR, Business, Organization Development or related field.
  • Demonstrated computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment.
  • Above average oral and written communication skills.
  • Above average interpersonal and coaching skills.
