Operations Manager, Expense Management
The Operations Manager for Expense Management is responsible for managing the service teams delivering relocation expense management services. Complete ownership and accountability for teams administering corporate client’s relocation program, ensuring customer and client satisfaction. Must have an in-depth knowledge of relocation cost management systems, payroll functions, accounts payable and receivables, gross-up and withholding calculations and electronic data feed
This position reports to the Vice President of Worldwide Operations and is located in Pleasanton, CA.
- Plans, organizes and directs the day-to-day service team activities consistent with company goals. Manages the team to meet/exceed quality service, data integrity and production goals.
- Assists/directs problem solving/issue resolution.
- Recruit, interview staff and conduct performance reviews for department employees.
- Assesses developmental needs of employees and assists in training and development of employees consistent with company-wide practices.
- Assists with managing relationships on all assigned accounts, ensuring a high level of client (payroll) satisfaction with relocation expense services. Assures accuracy in delivery of relocation expense, gross-up and withholding data to clients.
- Participates in meetings and presentations with clients, prospects and service teams as required.
- Takes ownership for cost of service delivery; manages the activity/headcount for the team.
- Handles day-to-day problem solving and training related to relocation issues.
- Completes corporate and team projects as required.
- Participates in client implementations, payroll integration and gross up projects as required
- Provides input to senior management on decisions related to the expense management function of the company.
- Minimum 5 years applicable relocation, payroll and/or relocation expense management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred
- Technical knowledge of Relocation Expense Management including Relocation tax law, payroll processes and reporting, audit practices and invoicing, Understands and can clearly communicate relationship between relocation payments, gross up, transferee pay and W-2 Statements
- Proficient in applicable Microsoft programs including, Outlook, Excel, Word and company tools and applicationsDemonstrated ability to relate well with clients, transferees and colleagues and maintain professional relationships
