APICTS Test for Relocation Mobile Apps
The APICTS Test can help HR and procurement to evaluate and compare mobile app technology offered by Relocation Management Companies.
As mobile apps develop in the relocation industry, it’s challenging to evaluate the quality and content of the various apps for particular users. The APICTS Test is a framework for helping HR and procurement groups understand the sophistication level, features, and capabilities of mobile app technology offered by a particular Relocation Management Company (RMC).
There are six capabilities that apps can provide. In order to meet the business functionality test, an app should have all six. In particular, a truly functional business app must have these three key capabilities: Personalized, Transaction Support, and Security. The NuCompass Mobile Navigator App for Employees meets all six of the APICTS Test Criteria and was the first fully functional business app in the mobility industry.
Future generations of apps for hand-held devices in the relocation industry will continue to evolve. Not only will they provide information, but they may also allow the employee and client to perform business functions from their hand-held devices in the same way they would on their desktop or laptop, using touch-screen capability or whatever method your device supports.
The use of sophisticated app technology in relocation supports the concept of true mobility, allowing the employee to complete transactions from any location and in their own timeframes. Procurement will likely discover that there is a wide variance between RMCs when it comes to mobile app capabilities.
